I would ask where this came from…But knowing Nintendo’s ways, there’s no need to ask that question.
After four years, the Paper Mario series is back and gearing up for its Switch debut. Paper Mario: The Origami King will be released on July 17 here in the States, and hardcore Mario fans from all over the world are praying that this new game will bring back memories of the beloved N64 and GameCube gems.
Being a Paper Mario game, the big N is promising a story that contains a trio of comedy, emotion, and thrills. You and the red-clad plumber will be venturing through an origiami version of the Mushroom Kingdom, and do battle in a combat system that involves lining up your foes and occasionally calling the environment for backup.
Nintendo has a lot of work to do if they want to ease the hit-and-miss memories of Super Paper Mario, Sticker Star, and Color Splash, but they are clearly committed to doing everything in their power to provide us with the true Paper Mario comeback that we’ve been begging for.
