If there’s any game that I and a lot of my Switch Online friends are absolutely hooked on, it’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The latest title in this beloved franchise is knee-deep in addicting gameplay, and it’s now been given a laundry list of new features.
Your island will now be home to two characters from older games. Leif has arrived to sell shrubs and flower seeds, and Redd sells furniture and artwork (The latter of which can be donated to Blathers).
There will also be four special events, the first of which lasts until May 5 This Nature Day event will net you some Nook Miles if you can complete certain goals that involve nature things. The second event is called the May Day Tour (May 1-7), which lets you use a one-time May Day Ticket to visit an even more mysterious island. International Museum Day (May 18-31) tasks you with collecting stamps in your museum’s exhibits. The last one on this list is Wedding Season (June 1-30), where you must help Reese and Cyrus put together the celebration of their wedding’s anniversary.
It really does feel like Nintendo is taking full advantage of New Horizons‘ popularity, and this large update is definitely a reason to believe that. If you’re looking for more even content to enjoy in this relaxing life-sim game, consider yourself covered.
