After being on the Silver Soul Gaming roster since 2018, it’s time for me to take the next step. For those of you who support me (Support of which I’m constantly grateful for), I’m pleased to let you know that I am no longer just a writer, but now an official affiliate for SSG. What does this mean, exactly? Well, it’s mainly for promotional reasons.
I’ve had many discussions with Silver and Vlast about how we can really get the SSG site off the ground and net more followers, and we’ve finally come up with a plan. I have a new YouTube channel called “SSG Preston,” and the SSG crew is going to heavily promote said channel on Facebook, Twitter, and Discord. Of course, I must (And I more than fully want to) give the SSG brand all the promotion I can give in return, so it’ll be a win-win for each side.
However, while all of the above is pretty awesome news to share, there is some stuff that might disappoint you a little. Because of my desire to put so much energy into my YouTube channel, I’ve decided that my SSG articles from this point on will only be about news, my opinions, and other kinds of articles. And in turn, this means that I will no longer be writing reviews on the SSG website. I know that may sound like a bummer, but I want to make it clear that the previous sentence does not mean I am completely done reviewing games, as I aim to one day get back into reviewing games in the form of YouTube videos. Personally, I feel that making reviews via videos will allow me to creatively express myself better than I have in my written reviews. I know that sounds weird to say, but I’m a weird and complicated kind of guy. I also feel this way regarding my music-reviews, which is why I’m transferring that hobby to my YouTube channel as well (I know I’m shamelessly plugging something of mine that isn’t gaming-related, but please bear with me).
So, is my work on the SSG site continuing in a fashion that is more limited than what it was before? Pretty much. But, do I hope to stay on the team as long as possible? You bet your buttons I do. My time on this website has been such a blast, and I hope the remainder of my tenure is just as good if not better. Thank you for the truckload of support y’all have given me and the SSG crew. All of us are more than happy to keep giving you the content you enjoy viewing.
