In the last season, we saved the Sundial and kept the Red Legion from getting ahold of it, saved Saint-14 from the clutches of the Vex, and found our own grave in the Corridors of Time. It’s had a mixed bag of feedback, some good, some bad. Personally, I think this season was Bungie’s remake of Curse of Osiris, and I had fun with it. However, big things are on the horizon. This season on Destiny 2

PvE content
The Red Legion has decided that they’ve lost all hope and are trying drastic measures. They’re crashing the Almighty, Ghaul’s ship, into the Last City and are trying to exterminate the last of humanity. But not to fear, Ana Bray and Commander Zavala are on the case. They discovered it, and they’re turning to an old acquaintance for help.
Rasputin is back, and he’s getting a major buff courtesy of us Guardians. We are going to power up his Seraph Towers in public events, and we’re going to reestablish the connection to the Warmind across the system with Seraph bunkers and bounties. I’m excited to explore the bunkers because we’ve been hearing about these since Destiny and we haven’t seen them at all, it’ll be interesting to see what we find.
On April 21st we get Grandmaster Ordeal- a new difficulty of Nightfall. This is even tougher than the Master difficulty we have now at 980 power level. 1000+ light levels are going to be the norm with this new season, and you’ll need it for this difficulty.
Also on April 21st, we get something called the Guardian Games. From the picture, it looks like we’re depositing motes(?) and competing against our fellow Guardians. Which class will reign? It’ll be interesting to see what happens with this. Maybe Olympic style games, and maybe even the return of Sparrow Racing (please Bungie, please)?
More will be revealed as the season goes on, but from the looks of this, we will have a ton to do and grind for.
PvP content
Trials of Osiris is finally making its comeback! For those who don’t know, Trials is like a 3v3 PvP match where you have to eliminate the other team to win. I never did Trials in Destiny, but I’ve heard it’s a lot like the Elimination mode (3v3, you can revive teammates, first to 5 rounds wins), with some twists. It’s the original thing people would get salty over, and even though I haven’t been much of a PvP player I want to give it a shot.

Saint-14 is the announcer, and now we know there is someone who can be more excited than Shaxx.
This takes place on the weekends, Friday through Tuesday at reset, and is here to stay for the forseeable future. Anyone with a power level of 960 or higher can participate. With multiple consecutive wins, you get pinnacle gear. With 7 consecutive wins, you get special access to the Lighthouse on Mercury and the rewards it holds.
New Exotics
Each season we get new exotic weapons, and this one is no exception. This time, we get a new one, and possibly an old favorite.

Tommy’s Matchbook, a Tommy gun, looks awesome and it’s said to be the first 900 rpm auto rifle we’ve had in a long time.
The 4th Horseman makes its return (in Zavala’s hands), and we’re probably going to be seeing that around the middle of the season if I had to guess.
There is more content to be revealed throughout the season, and in my opinion this looks like it’s going to be fun. If you need a clan to join and play the game with, we here at SSG have a clan called Silver Soul Guardians! We offer quest and activity help, and I’m hoping to build the clan into a fun and helpful community.
