The Hollywood Reporter revealed today that a TV show based on the Playstation series The Last of Us.
The developer Naughty Dog also announced that the original game’s writer and director Neil Druckmann will write and executive produce with Craig Mazin. Mazin is the creator of the HBO limited series Chernobyl and apparently already a fan of The Last of Us.
The show is set to adapt the events of the first game and could possibly cover the second game as well, which is set to come out May 29.
It will be co-produced by Playstation Productions, the company’s studio it created specifically to adapt its game franchise into movies and TV shows. It will be their first project.
