In the latest minecraft patch references to creator Markus Persson, also known as Notch, have been removed. The references included messages like “The Work of Notch”
Since selling Mojang to microsoft for $2.5 billion, Persson has garnished a reputation for his twitter accusations. It is unclear, at this time, whether or not this was an attempt for the company to distance themself from there creator.
Microsoft purchased Mojang and the Minecraft IP back in 2014. Since then, Persson has not had involvement with the company. Although the references were removed, Persson’s name can still be seen in the credits.
