Today, the Devolver Digital Twitter account announced that they’re holding a E3 press conference this year. Also, EA confirmed today that they won’t be holding a press conference at E3 this year–according Nintendoeverything.com,
This news stems from reports from many gaming outlets like IGN.com claiming that “EA has announced it will skip the conference this year (…)” because they’re replacing it with some live-stream events “that will air during the first two days of the event.”
According to IGN.com, EA believes these streams will help their consumers receive more insight about their titles’ game-play and their developers. EA even tweeted out a post that advertised their 2019 EA Play stream event alongside a link to their website to learn more details about their decision to skip E3 this year. On the other hand, it looks like Devolver Digital wants to keep the E3 press conference spirit in-tact by holding another interesting one this year. I’m not sure what fans can expect from this video-game publisher, but it appears some video-game websites and their users do.
Nintendoeverything.com states that the publisher’s 2018 E3 conference “treated us to a few announcements (…) [like] My Friend Pedro for Switch.” Some of their users even mentioned titles they want to see make an appearance at their press conference being, “Shadow Warrior, Talos Principle, and Serious Sam.”
Regardless, it’s great to know that Devolver Digital’s holding a presentation this year. Based on many fan responses to their E3 2019 press conference confirmation tweet, it may be a conference you shouldn’t miss. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on E3 news as more information becomes available online.
