Today, several gaming media outlets reported that the classic first-person-shooter title, Turok, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 18th, 2019. According to comicbook.com, Twitter user @Nibellion was the first-person to discover Turok’s mysterious appearance on the “Nintendo Game Store” with the Canadian region selected.
About an hour later, @Nibellion tweeted out a link to the U.S. region Nintendo page for Turok on Nintendo Switch which contains everything from the Canadian Nintendo page, but lists that the title will cost $19.99 while on the Canadian Nintendo page it is given a $25.12 price point.
The Twitter user also posted images that detail what fans can expect from Turok for Nintendo Switch. To view the images, click here.
According to comicbook.com, this Nintendo Switch Turok title “will be the HD remaster from Nightdive Studios and will” contain the creatures found in the original title. On that note, Nintendo.com’s listing for the title revealed all the details you’ll need to know if you plan on picking up the game when it launches on March 18th, 2019.
Here’s the game’s description accompanied by a couple images found on the Nintendo.com listing page.

The Chronoscepter was shattered thousands of years ago in an effort to keep it from falling into evil hands. The Campaigner has constructed a massive focusing array which he plans to use to magnify and pervert the power of the Chronoscepter in order to shatter the barriers between the ages and rule the universe. As if Turok’s sudden appearance on the Nintendo Switch wasn’t enough, Twitter user @Nitomatta spoke with Nightdive Studios via their Discord group and confirmed that Turok 2: Seeds of Evil will be coming to the Nintendo Switch too. However, comicbook.com states that Turok 2: Seeds of Evil “will be coming at a later time.”
Regardless, it’s a great time to be a retro gaming fan–especially for those who grew up around the time dinosaur films like Jurassic Park made its debut in theaters. Though the title’s pricing may seem a bit high; I plan on picking it up when it releases for $19.99 USD on March 18th.
We’ll be sure to keep you all updated when news about the title’s other entries arrive on the Nintendo Switch.
