An action role-play game The Outer Worlds by Obsidian Entertainment is rumored to release later this year on August, 6th. Before, we didn’t know what month the game will be out. The game has been in development since May 2016. That, in turn, means the developers should be almost done by now, so it may be true.
The steam page for the game briefly had information on the release date and even tags for the gameplay before being taken down. Usually, games will put a placeholder date that is also subject to change due to external factors. Such is the case for retail stores as well as online gaming platforms.
Like any other leak about a major game coming out, it is important to remember that it may not be accurate. Other factors like development issues and bugs to be ironed out could easily push released date down.
The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The game follows the player awakening from a Cryosleep to explore and discover the mysterious world around them. It will have a branching storyline and companion NPCs the player can add to their group.
