The answer Eurogamer.net received from Drew McCoy was “while Respawn would love to bring Apex Legends to mobile and Switch, there’s “nothing [they] can currently talk about.” This means they’re are down to make a mobile version of Apex Legends, but it may not see the light of day for quite some time.
According to MyNintendoNews.com, “Apex Legends from Respawn and EA has been amassing huge player numbers and at present the game now has 25 million players and 2 million concurrent users in just a week.” This is noteworthy considering the amount of backlash EA has had over the years. It’s great to see something like this occur for them.
In my eyes, battle-royale titles are definitely welcomed on the Nintendo Switch. If Fortnite and the recently announced Tetris99 [trailer via IGN’s YouTube channel] title having anything to say, its that the Nintendo Switch’s the perfect place to house games within that addictive, multiplayer genre.

Even enabling consumers the chance to “cross-platform play” among their friends with other systems could increase the title’s value. Especially if it were to occur between the Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, or even the PlayStation 4 versions. However, it’s all in Respawn and EA’s hands to make the move, so who knows when a mobile version of Apex Legends will be developed, let alone, revealed to the public.
