Beamdog, the developer that has taken custodianship of the old Black Isle and Bioware titles based on Dungeons and Dragons games, has announced that they will be releasing Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate II, Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment, and Neverwinter Nights on consoles at some point this year.
While no release date has been announced, it has been stated that the editions released will be the enhanced editions that are currently playable on PC. Also missing from the statement is what consoles we can expect these games to appear on. PS4 and Xbox seem certain, but wouldn’t it be neat for it to be on the Switch as well.
We will keep you updated as soon as we learn more.
