Yesterday, the Bandai Namco Entertainment America YouTube channel announced that Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition is scheduled to release for Nintendo Switch systems in Spring 2019 for western audiences.

This is the first time a Sword Art Online video game title’s releasing on an Nintendo system, according to the announcement trailer. Bandai Namco Entertainment America was courteous enough to leave a small description for those old and new to the game. Here’s what information was shared in the trailer’s description.
“It’s finally time to return to Ainground with Kirito, Asuna, and Leafa on-the-go! Experience the epic tale of Kirito and Premiere’s adventures with the season pass included in Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition! As the world suddenly begins to undergo changes, uncover the tale of the mysterious NPC in our heroes’ adventures.”

Nintendosoup.com reported that “Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition for Switch will include all three chapters from the Abyss of the Shrine Maiden saga including the Warriors of the Sky DLC.”
On the other hand, yesterday, Siliconera.com reported that “during a Dengeki live stream” that aired on January 16th, 2019, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition was given an April 25, 2019 release date in Japan for Nintendo Switch systems. Although western fans will have to wait for the developers to announce a specific release date for the title, it’s exciting to see a Sword Art Online game finally makes its way to an Nintendo platform.
