Shenmue I and II Coming To PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 21st!

Sega’s Twitter account announced that Shenmue I and II will be coming to a PS4, Xbox One, and PC near you on August 21st. With the announcement, Sega decided to upload a one minute and twenty-five second trailer on their Twitter account–featuring the games alongside a pre-order bonus.

The pre-order bonus is an “exclusive double-sided poster and reversible cover”–according to Sega’s Twitter account. You can watch the trailer by clicking here.

According to Gematsu.com, the games will release digitally and physically for $29.99 USD. The consoles will receive physical and digital copies while PC (Steam) users can get the games digitally.

The games seem the same from the game-play and story-line shown in the trailer, but apparently Gamespot.com noticed some differences between these re-releases from their original counterparts.

According to Gamespot.com, “Among the new features players can enjoy are modern and classic control schemes, an updated user interface, scalable screen resolution, and both English and Japanese voiceovers.”

This definitely feels like a way for Sega to hold off Shenmue fans until the release of the third game in the series, Shenmue III. With these minor adjustments to the older titles, it does feel worth the purchase if you want to refresh your memories with the games. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if more information about the games drops online.
