Returning Super Smash Bros. Veterans Will Receive Amiibo Says Nintendo Japan!

Although we received confirmation during Nintendo Treehouse Live 2018 that the newcomers for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Inkling, Ridley, and Daisy will receive amiibo; many have wondered about the returning veterans like Pichu and Snake. Well, it looks like they’ll be receiving amiibo too–according to Nintendo Japan.

According to NintendoSoup.com“Nintendo confirmed through the official Japanese website there are plans to make amiibo for veteran fighters such as Pichu, Ice Climbers, and everyone else which Nintendo didn’t make an amiibo for, and told fans to “stay tuned”.

With that confirmation, fans of these veterans can now be at ease. Pricing or designs for these amiibo haven’t been shown to the public yet, but when they do, you’ll bet we’ll update you all on the latest news with regards to this game’s merchandise. With that said, NintendoSoup.com kindly listed what characters do not have amiibo yet.

According to their list, the characters are Pichu, Ice Climbers, Snake, Wolf, Young Link, and Pokemon Trainer (Charizard, Squirtle, Ivysaur). That last one is probably a combination of the trainer and the three pokemon. Not to confuse you with the existing Charizard amiibo–which may not work in the iteration possibly.

We’ll update you when images and prices for these characters’ amiibo are shared online.

What do you think about this news? Was it a given that we would receive amiibo for them? Were you worried? Let us know on Facebook and Twitter, and follow us for more news on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and everything gaming too!
