There is a lot of uncertainty that revolves around FromSoftware, but the one thing we can all be sure of, is that they make some of the most favored video games within the gaming community.
The upcoming release for “Dark Souls: Remastered” has many are eager to see what else Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of FromSoftware, has planned next. Especially since the company released a teaser in December 2017 with the words “Shadows Die Twice” appearing in the 30 second video that left many curious.
Lots of people are speculating a sequel to “Bloodborne”, and others are thinking “Tenchu” is making a come back after 9 years since the last release “Tenchu: Shadow Assassins” that had came out in February 2009.
Though, Miyazaki had mentioned a couple years back of desire to return to making Mecha games, such as FromSoftware’s popular “Armored Core” series and the less popular “Chromehounds”. But since then FromSoftware has made both “Dark Souls III” and the remaster of “Dark Souls” leaving us all to wonder if they really are going back to the Mecha style gaming.
Being tired of sequels, a lot of fans are hoping the teaser is the light of a new series to come, and perhaps them even stepping out of their comfort with RPG’s and Mecha style and trying something new.
On a personal note, I like the idea of Miyazaki going for a post-apocalyptic RPG, though there has been no mention of it. I would also enjoy a remaster of “Demon Souls” or more of the “Bloodborne” series.
