After receiving the version 5.0 update for Arms, the development team gave consumers more reasons to purchase or replay the game thanks to their new, free DLC update. However, it seems that this will be the final update for Arms. Thanks to a user on restera.com, we have intel on what Nintendo had to say on the matter.
“As a major update, this one [the just released v.5 update] will be the last update. Of course, we will continue to adjust the game’s balance in the future, so I hope you will continue to enjoy ARMS.” – Source
As a whole—we received a total of 5 new characters, 12 Arms, and 5 new stages. We presume the company is taking a break, or are working on a sequel to Arms. Regardless, Nintendo promises to provide balance patches for the title.
